WE Insurance Company Timeline

Weatherby-Eisenrich was established in 1934 by O.G. Weatherby in Andrews, Texas. His son, Joe Weatherby, joined him in 1956 and formed the O.G. Weatherby and Son agency. Later, they merged with Charlie Burkett and A.C. Mize and formed the Weatherby-Mize and Burkett agency.  After the retirement of A.C. Mize in 1964 and Charlie Burkett  in 1982  Joe Weatherby took the agency back to the original name of Weatherby until hiring Lloyd Eisenrich as a partner in 1984. In 1986, Joe and Lloyd formed the Weatherby-Eisenrich Agency which still exists today as the second oldest business in Andrews County.  Joe Weatherby retired in 1994 and Lloyd Eisenrich became the sole owner.  With the purchase of the Andrews location of Stoltz and Company and the creation Edgmon-Eisenrich Insurance in Odessa the agency has expanded it's West Texas operations and with the purchase of Insco Insurance in Granbury, Texas in 2004 (renamed Weatherby-Eisenrich Insurance in 2009) expanded into Central Texas.  Weatherby-Eisenrich Insurance is currently expanding into Austin Texas and continues to seek acquisitions throughout Texas.
